Install with Safari on iPhone or iPad
Open Secrets in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. Confirm with Add, then launch the saved icon. If you return later through that icon, sign in to the account you already use rather than creating another one.
For push notifications, iOS requires version 16.4 or later and a home-screen installation. Opening a normal Safari tab is not the same setup. Notification permission is a separate choice from adding the icon; decide whether you want alerts and review the device permission if they do not arrive.
Removing the icon later does not delete your account or stop a subscription. Those changes belong in account and subscription settings.
Use the browser install option on Android or desktop
On Android, open Secrets in Chrome and use the browser menu. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen, depending on the option shown. On a supported desktop browser, look for its address-bar install icon or app prompt. The install choice may disappear once the app is already installed.
If the installed view looks empty while a browser tab has your conversations, compare the signed-in accounts. Google sign-in and an email login can lead you to different accounts if you choose different credentials. Reinstalling is not a way to transfer a subscription between them.
Skip third-party installers
We distribute the app through browser installation, not the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A similar name or copied icon on a download site does not establish an official connection. You do not need a third-party APK or a modified version to use Free chat.
The installed web app receives website updates. Keep the browser current rather than looking for replacement APK files. If something stops working, compare the same account in a browser tab and describe that difference to support. This helps identify whether the problem concerns installation, access or a particular action.

Is the Secrets AI app a separate mobile product?
No. Our app is the browser-installed website. It uses the same account, conversations and feature access as the browser version.
Where should I get the Android APK?
Use Chrome's installation option instead. Our official instructions do not require an APK from a download site.

Yes. Open Secrets in a supported browser and sign in normally. Installation is optional; it adds a convenient launch method and supported app notifications.
How should I update an installed app?
Website updates supply the app content. Keep your browser up to date; you do not need to download successive APK versions.
